Specialty Areas:

I specialize in trauma and complex PTSD, LGBTQIA+ and gender identity exploration, sex therapy, couples and relationship concerns, and grief support. My approach is deeply rooted in a multicultural feminist perspective, emphasizing the importance of understanding individuals within their gendered and sociocultural contexts. This perspective is integral to my practice, as I strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that respects and values diversity. I am committed to advocating for social justice and addressing systemic inequalities, ensuring that all clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their therapeutic journey.

Outside of the Therapy Space:

When I’m not in session, I love exploring new places- whether it’s a brunch spot in town or a new country! I enjoy discovering hidden gems, coffee shops, farmers markets, and thrift stores. I’m happiest outdoors, hiking with my dog, swimming, or sitting around a campfire. I also enjoy cozy nights in with a good book, playing Stardew Valley, and spending time with my found family. Social justice and advocacy are central to my life, and I enjoy participating in community initiatives, supporting marginalized communities, and finding ways to make a positive impact both locally and globally.

Experience

I have been working in the mental health field since 2022. My journey began as a crisis interventionist for a domestic violence hotline, followed by providing trauma-informed care to male-identifying survivors of human trafficking in a residential facility. Throughout my master’s program, I served as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), conducting risk assessments and safety planning for individuals experiencing suicidal or homicidal ideation and psychosis. I further honed my skills at another domestic violence agency, offering individual therapy and facilitating processing and psychoeducational groups. In private practice, I expanded my expertise to include couples counseling and co-facilitated a support group for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. My work encompasses trauma, grief, identity exploration, relational dynamics, emotional regulation, and attachment concerns. My training and clinical work has been rooted in feminist, multicultural perspectives with an emphasis on relational-cultural and person-centered theories.
